Description
The Xelmus Apollo full frame anamorphic primes are small and light-weight relative to other full frame anamorphic lenses, and they are have incredible close-focusing distance of 15” to 18”. These lenses utilize rotating astigmatizers to focus, which means: no mumps, a consistent squeeze ratio, no focus breathing, a compact design, and amazing close focus distances. This is the same type of focusing system that all Panavision anamorphic lenses use. The Apollos have less chromatic aberration and better light transmission than other anamorphic glass, with a smooth 270° focal rotation. Although there isn’t a universal aperture, there is an impressively low T-stop on each prime, ranging from T1.7-T2.8.
