Each lens is capable of extreme close focus, with the 50mm and 100mm lenses achieving 1:1 magnification. This set of macros lenses stand out for their minimum focus distance, ideal for recording actions or objects located close to the camera. Apart from the 100mm T2.8, the set has the consistent T-Stop of T2.1. These lenses feature “Automatic Iris control”, an invaluable feature when working professionally with macro lenses. These lenses compensate for any light changes or losses experienced when focusing to the extreme throws, and prevent and dimming on the image. Focusing from infinity to a macro position at maximum aperture results in the aperture ring automatically positioning itself at the correct aperture. These lenses match very well with Zeiss Super Speeds, and can even be used alongside more modern Zeiss offerings.
