The Canon FD lenses are a set of 11 high-quality vintage spherical primes that have been rehoused by True Lens Services and/or GL Optics to provide a durable and reliable lens set for modern cinematographers. The set includes focal lengths of 14mm – 200mm. These lenses feature a PL mount and have a 110mm front diameter with a 43mm image circle. They are ideal for full frame coverage and work well with cameras such as the Mini LF, Venice, and Monstro.
Cine Visuals rents complete sets of 1970s Canon FD primes rehoused by TLS and Zero Optik. The 24mm f1.4, 55mm f1.2, and 85mm f1.2 aspherical lenses are close siblings of the legendary K35s, making them the perfect choice to complement or emulate Canon K35s. They have a unique vintage character with lower contrast than modern lenses, and produce beautifully unique orange and purple flares. The wider lenses have pleasant but not distracting aberrations. TLS has upgraded the original 8-blade irises with 16-blade irises, ensuring these legendary lenses produce unmistakable professional bokeh. The 18mm T1.5, 35mm T1.6, and 45mm Yashica T1.5 in our set are part of our new FD-X lenses, expanding the focal lengths and developed with TLS, filling gaps in the original FD lineup. These lenses have a cult following in both the photography and cinema world, and have proven to be a great option for those looking for a high-quality vintage lens set with a modern feel.
