The origin of the Petzval lenses has its roots in some of the first still photography lenses of the 19th century. Recent interest in near-forgotten vintage optics inspired TLS, the legendary rehousing company, to give new life to these special lenses. The TLS rehoused Petzval primes come fully ready to shoot on modern full frame cameras – the set (58mm and 85mm) comes equippted with an industry standard PL mount, a 110mm front diameter, 16 iris blades, and fast apertures of T2.1 (58mm) and T2.3 (85mm). Both lenses put their signature swirly bokeh on full display – a perfect fit for projects that call for a unique visual style.
