About the Fujinon Duvo Zoom Cinema Lenses
Fujinon Duvo Zooms are PL mount cinema/broadcast lenses built for productions that need cinema-style imaging with broadcast-style control. The series includes the HZK 14-100mm, HZK 24-300mm, and HZK 25-1000mm, covering portable, studio, live-event, sports, and long-range production needs.
The Duvo line is designed around dual-format coverage, working natively for Super 35 cameras with a built-in 1.5x expander for larger sensor formats. This makes the series useful across cinema, broadcast, and multi-camera environments where productions need long zoom ranges, remote operation, and consistent image quality.
Image Fidelity & Focus
Fujinon Duvo zooms are designed to bring cinema-style image quality into broadcast and live-production workflows. The series uses aspherical and Super ED lens elements to help control distortion, color fringing, ghosting, and other optical issues that become more visible on large-sensor cameras. The Duvo lenses also support precise focus operation for production environments where camera position, subject distance, and framing can change quickly. Instead of treating the series like a standard cinema zoom set, the optical design is built around long zoom ranges, large-sensor coverage, and the control requirements of live event, sports, studio, and multi-camera work.
Flare & Bokeh
The Duvo series is designed for controlled contrast and clean image reproduction in live and multi-camera environments, where lighting conditions can change quickly and consistency matters. The large-sensor coverage also allows the lenses to produce more subject separation than traditional broadcast zooms, especially when used on cinema cameras and larger sensor formats.
Handling & Adaptability
The Fujinon Duvo lineup gives productions three different levels of range and handling within the same cinema/broadcast lens family. The HZK 14-100mm is the most compact portable option, suited for shoulder-mounted, handheld, studio, crane, and moving-camera work where a wider zoom range needs to stay manageable. The HZK 24-300mm extends the portable range for productions that need more reach while keeping the lens usable in flexible shooting configurations. The HZK 25-1000mm is the long-range box-style option in the Duvo series, built for sports, concerts, live events, and other productions where extreme telephoto coverage and broadcast-style operation are required. Across the lineup, Duvo lenses support remote control workflows, servo operation, and metadata output for productions that need cinema-camera compatibility with the speed and control of live production.
Image Circle
Fujinon Duvo zooms are designed around Super 35 native coverage, with a built-in 1.5x expander for larger sensor coverage when needed. This gives productions the option to work across different camera formats while keeping the same Duvo lens system in place.
Cinematic Heritage
Fujifilm introduced the Duvo portable zoom series in 2022 as part of its effort to connect cinema-style imaging with live broadcast operation. The Duvo name comes from โduoโ and โvivo,โ reflecting the seriesโ dual focus on cinematic image characteristics and live-production control.
