About the Fujinon Duvo Zoom Cinema Lenses
Fujinon Duvo Zooms are hybrid cinema and broadcast lenses designed to deliver shallow depth of field and high-end optical performance in live production environments. They combine large-format image characteristics with the operational speed and control required for sports, events, and multi-camera setups.
A built-in extender allows Duvo lenses to switch between Super 35 and full-frame coverage while maintaining consistent image quality, making them adaptable across different camera systems. Their long zoom ranges, servo control compatibility, and remote operation features support dynamic shooting conditions where flexibility is critical. From compact handheld configurations (14-100mm and 24-300mm) to long-range broadcast setups (25-1000mm), the Duvo series is built to handle both cinematic capture and real-time production demands without compromising image integrity.
Image Fidelity & Focus
Fujinon Duvo Series zooms offer very little distortion, ghosting, or color fringing. With a fast maximum aperture of T2.9, they maintain high end cinema optical performance. Large-diameter aspherical elements and Super ED lenses minimize aberrations and maximize image quality. Focus control meets the demands of live broadcast production.
Flare & Bokeh
Lens flare is minimized in the Duvo Series zooms, while bokeh is beautiful and cinematic.
Handling & Adaptability
The Duvo HZK 14โ100mm delivers a versatile 7.1x zoom range in a compact, lightweight package (about 2.54 kg and 266.9 mm long) โ ideal for shoulder-mounted operation and compatible with stabilizing support systems. The Duvo 24-300mm lens offers a 12.5x zoom range and remains portable at 2.95kg and 270mm in length. Zoom, aperture, and focus can be remotely adjusted with third-party wireless controllers. The 0.8M focus ring gear pitch allows seamless integration with industry-standard accessories for precise focus adjustments. The Remote Back Focus function enables accurate flange focal distance adjustments for hassle-free back focusing. Equipped with the ZEISS eXtended Data system, the Duvo zooms provide metadata logs of zoom, aperture, and focus positions, as well as distortion and shading corrections. The 25-1000mm Duvo offers a 40x zoom range and covers both Super 35 and full-frame sensors. With the highest combination of magnification and telephoto reach currently available for cine-style cameras, the 25-1000 also performs well in low light, especially with large sensor cameras, lending a cinematic, shallow depth of field flavor.
Image Circle
Duvo zooms cover Super 35 sensors natively and extend to full frame with a built-in 1.5x expander while preserving optical performance.
Cinematic Heritage
The Duvo Portable series was launched in October 2022. The Duvo Name is derived from the Latin words โduoโ (for dual) and โvivoโ for live, signifying their dual cinema and broadcast characteristics.
