product details
Sigmaโs Cine primes are rehoused full frame lenses derived from Sigmaโs Art still photography lens line. Lightweight and affordable compared to high-end cinema glass, they rival high-end sets in image quality and compact construction. Designed for 6K-8K shooting, they are a cost-effective option for large format cinematography that doesnโt sacrifice quality. Sigma Cine primes are offered in a wide array of focal lengths: 14mm, 20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 85mm, 105mm, and 135mm. Sigma Cine primes are available to rent or sub-rent from Cine Visuals as full sets, partial sets, or as single lenses.

Sigma Primes
Image Fidelity & Focus
Sigma Cine Primes are known for their sharpness, high contrast, and neutral color fidelity. They resolve extremely high detail, suitable for 8K and beyond. Their rendering is clean, modern and neutral, with minimal distortion, and they produce technically precise images with minimal aberrations โ ideal for VFX and high-resolution workflows. Falloff is natural, maintaining dimensionality without distraction.
Handling & Adaptability
Sigma rehoused its Art optics into robust cine housings with interchangeable PL, EF, and E mount options. They feature standardized 95mm fronts, geared controls, and consistent mechanics. Compact and lightweight compared to other cine primes, they are ideal for handheld, drone, and gimbal use.
Flare & Bokeh
Bokeh is smooth, with circular highlights. Flare is well controlled thanks to advanced coatings, but can be coaxed into producing cinematic veiling glow.
Image Circle
A 43.3mm image circle facilitates Full Frame cinematography.
Cinematic Heritage
Sigma, historically known for still photography lenses, entered the cinema market in the mid-2010s as digital cinematography created demand for affordable yet professional cine lenses. The Cine Primes brought high-end optical performance to a broader market.
