The Optica Magnus Angénieux 17–80 Academy to Full Frame Expander is a precision optical expander engineered to convert the Angénieux 17–80 Optimo Zoom from its original Academy 35 coverage to Full Frame sensor coverage, allowing cinematographers to use this classic zoom on modern large-format digital cinema cameras. Designed to interface directly with the unique rear mount of the 17–80, this expander preserves the lens’s optical character while delivering excellent sharpness, contrast, and color consistency, enabling reliable performance on cameras such as the ARRI Alexa Mini LF, RED V-Raptor, and Sony VENICE 1 & 2.
