Hawk lenses are developed by Vantage, a German manufacturer focused on anamorphic optics and known for its role in bringing anamorphic glass back into mainstream production. Cine Visuals carries the Hawk V-Lite Anamorphic Primes, V-Plus Anamorphic Zooms, and the Vantage One4 spherical primes, all maintained by in-house technicians with direct Vantage training.
- Super 35 | AnamorphicA compact remaster of the Hawk V-Series, retaining the organic rendering and optical character of vintage anamorphic glass while applying modern housing design and sharpness suited to current production workflows. The V-Lites preserve the visual qualities of 1970s and 1980s anamorphic imagery without the mechanical limitations of earlier designs.

- Super 35 | AnamorphicThe V-Lite optical formula adapted into two zoom configurations, covering 45โ90mm and 80โ180mm while maintaining consistent anamorphic rendering across the range. They provide focal flexibility without departing from the visual characteristics of the V-Lite system.

- Full Frame LF/VV | SphericalFull-frame spherical primes developed from Vantage optical engineering, translating the Hawk rendering approach into a standard spherical format. They are used when productions want the same design philosophy without the operational requirements of anamorphic lenses.

What are Hawk Cinema Lenses Known For?
Vantage was founded in 1993 by Peter Mรคrtin and Wolfgang Bรคumler with a specific intent: to bring anamorphic glass back into mainstream production at a moment when the industry had largely moved away from it. In the 1990s, anamorphic housings were widely regarded as heavy and cumbersome, and while the squeeze factor produced a wider image, the associated aberrations and operational constraints led many productions to favor spherical lenses. Mรคrtin and Bรคumler took a different approach. Drawing on the visual character of 1970s and 1980s cinema, they developed the Hawk C-Series, inspired by vintage Lomo anamorphics, and the lenses found an immediate audience. Throughout the 21st century, Vantage Hawk has maintained a consistent pace of optical development across both anamorphic and spherical formats, contributing directly to the broader revival of anamorphic lenses in modern production.
