GL Optics’ Leica R lenses further adds to the selection of legendary vintage rehoused Leica glass. The Leica R lenses are known for their warm skin tones, surprisingly contemporary flares, and tasteful falloff. Across the focal lengths they exhibit great contrast, but still react partially to heavy background light. The wider ends exhibit wonderful center sharpness but still provide some falloff around the edges, and the longer lenses are sharp edge to edge and produce spectacularly unique and emotive bokeh.

Combining legendary looks with reliable housings, GL Optics improves the close focus, makes these lenses lightweight, and of course adds a level of continuity and mechanical robustness. All 11 lenses have a front diameter of 95mm, and a massive image circle to cover everything from 16mm, to Alexa 35, and Sony Venice II. Combine these lenses with the Leica R 70-180mm Zoom and you have a full fledged, full frame machine.
